Victorian 2026 Men’s Box Lacrosse: Head Coach Wade Hammond Announced & Trials Confirmed
2026 Men's Box Trials & Head Coach Announcement
We’re pleased to confirm Wade Hammond as Head Coach of the 2026 Victorian Men’s Box Team. Wade coached the men to last year’s title and has been a consistent part of the box lacrosse community for many years.
He started playing in Eltham at eight years old and later represented Australia at the World Lacrosse Box Championships in 2007, 2011 and 2015, captaining the side in 2011. Wade was named head Coach for the Australian side that competed at the 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship. He has also represented Victoria many times and contributed to several national championship wins.
Selection trials for the men are on Sunday 7 December and Sunday 14 December from 4 to 6:30PM at the Alan Lewer Box Court in Altona.
The Box National Tournament runs from 2 to 7 March 2026 in Altona.
