Lacrosse Victoria
Lacrosse Victoria administers both Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse in the state of Victoria.
With support from Sport and Recreation Victoria and VicHealth, Lacrosse Victoria aims to:
- Promote and enhance the sport of Lacrosse
- Provide innovative and accessible pathways for participation
- Secure a sustainable and growing future for Victorian Lacrosse
- Promote and deliver good Governance to our community.
Lacrosse is played in various forms in Victoria. These forms include:
Club Lacrosse
Senior and Junior, Men’s and Women’s Field Lacrosse. Club Lacrosse is a regular weekly competition between Melbourne Metropolitan and Regional Clubs during the Winter season.Box Lacrosse
Summer Competition for Men and women. Box Lacrosse is a variation of the game originating in Canada where it is played indoors on ice hockey rinks.University Lacrosse
The University Lacrosse League is a non-contact mixed gender competition launched in Melbourne in 2006.Schools Lacrosse
Lacrosse is played in Victorian Primary and Secondary Schools (SSV) each year with State Finals played in August/September.TriBall Lacrosse
Is a fun modified version of Lacrosse perfect for schools as an introduction to the Sport.Lacrosse Sixes
A shorter and faster-paced version of the sport designed specifically for Olympic and Commonwealth Games competition.Lacrosse Victoria
