Grants are a good way for clubs to supplement or enhance their income to enable them to fund activities important to the clubs ongoing sustainability and success.
At various times there may be state, federal or other bodies' grants available for clubs to apply for. They will be listed below as they become available and relevant.

The Sporting Club Grants Program is now open, offering practical funding to help grassroots clubs strengthen their operations and grow participation.
This program supports clubs to remove barriers to participation, build safe and sustainable practices, and create inclusive, active communities.
Funding is available across five categories:
Up to $1,000 for on-field uniforms, essential participation equipment, and first-aid or safety items
Up to $5,000 to develop and retain volunteers, coaches and officials
Up to $2,500 for a single participation event, or up to $5,000 to deliver a series of sessions
Up to $750 to assist athletes with travel to representative competitions or trials
Up to $1,500 to strengthen governance and long-term sustainability
Eligible organisations must be not-for-profit, operating in Victoria, and currently delivering sport or active recreation programs. A comprehensive list of eligibility requirements and application guidance is available on the official site.
If your club is looking to build capability, increase inclusion, upgrade equipment or support representative athletes, this is a strong opportunity to access targeted funding. Outcomes will be announced in June 2026, with successful projects to be completed within 12 months.
