Lacrosse Senior National Championships Set for Angliss Reserve, June 4–8 2025! Melbourne’s Angliss Reserve will host five action-packed days of lacrosse as Australia’s top players compete for national glory. For Victorian fans and athletes, it’s a special opportunity to witness elite competition on home soil and showcase the rising power of lacrosse in the state.

Victorian lacrosse players will enter the competition with confidence and determination. They are eager to defend their home advantage and make a statement in front of their local supporters to redeem themselves from last year’s tournament. With the national championships being held right in Melbourne, local players will be motivated to add to the state’s already impressive legacy.

There have been a few player changes for the two squads. For the Women's Team, the coaching lineup has seen some changes ahead of the competition. Rachel Kirchheimer, originally named as a player, has transitioned to an assistant coaching role due to injury. This shift allows her to bring her extensive experience on the field to the sideline. With this adjustment, Georgia Floyd has been called up to the Women’s Team. The Women's Team will be led by Head Coach Stephen Bown, with Esther Lavelle and Stephine Kelly serving as captains. Sam Harrison will take on the crucial role of Team Manager, ensuring everything runs smoothly off the field.

On the Men's Team Harry Gibson and Samuel Boontjes are both unfortunately out of the competition due to injury, while Liam Fothergill and Joshua Yeoman have been brought in to strengthen the team. The Men's Team will be captained by Chris Plumb and Sean Aaron, with Sean Clarke and Donnie Howard stepping in as vice-captains. The coaching staff for the Men’s Team includes Gareth Allen, Chris Baker, John Tokarua, and Travis Roost, ensuring a well-rounded leadership presence for the team.

Both teams are set to benefit from the leadership, experience, and adaptability of their coaches and staff, making for an exciting and competitive championship at Angliss Reserve. For Victorians, this is more than just a national competition—it’s a moment to rally behind their state’s athletes, celebrate their love for the game, and be part of an unforgettable lacrosse experience.

Whether you're a seasoned lacrosse fan, someone new to the sport, or just looking to enjoy some top-tier competition, the Lacrosse Senior National Championships at Angliss Reserve will be an event to remember. Don’t miss the chance to witness the excitement firsthand.
