Victoria Takes Out Double National Honours at U15 Lacrosse Championships
Victoria has completed a remarkable campaign at the Lacrosse Australia U15 National Tournament on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, claiming national titles in both the boys and girls divisions, a second-place finish in the girls, and a third-place finish in the boys.

This tournament marked a shift for the Victorian boys program, moving away from regional boundaries to select two sides from the entire pool of trialing athletes, mirroring the selection structure of the girls program.
In the boys division, Breakers secured the national championship with an 11-10 win over Phantoms in the grand final, holding their one-goal lead through the fourth quarter to finish the week undefeated. Earlier in the day, Blaze took third place against Braves, fighting back from a halftime deficit to seal a 9-8 win with a golden goal in extra time.
The girls competition finished with an all-Victorian grand final, with both Fire and Ice entering the decider undefeated. Fire took the honours with a 14-10 win in a competitive game on Field 1, leaving Ice with second place and their only loss of the tournament coming in the final game.

Victoria was also represented across the two Lacrosse Australia Presidents teams, Mayhem and Buccaneers. These players gained valuable experience competing at a national tournament to take into their trials next year, with several Victorian players picking up match MVPs throughout the week.
Lacrosse Victoria congratulates all players, coaches, and team managers on an outstanding tournament representing our state.
A sincere thank you goes to the travelling parents, families, and supporters on the ground in Queensland. Your sideline photos, videos, and game updates sent through to Melbourne each day powered our digital coverage and kept supporters back home connected to every game.
