SSV Year 7&8 State Finals Recap

This past Friday saw Lacrosse Victoria hold the Annual School Sport Victoria State finals for year 7 and 8 students at Fawkner Park.

It was a great day that allowed the students to get amongst the game, whether they had played lacrosse before or not. There were some amazing skills on display from all the wonderful students participating on the day.

There were 6 schools with 17 teams split across two competitions, an all gender and girls. For each of the competition's there was also a spirit award given to the team that showed the most sportsmanship, enthusiasm, as well as overall school spirit.

Congratulations to the following schools for making it an awesome day of lacrosse!

Caroline Chisolm Catholic College, Melbourne Girls College, Montmorency Secondary College, Mount St Joseph Girls College, Sandringham Secondary College, and Williamstown High School.

Year 7&8 Girls Division:

Melbourne Girls College (1) 8 v Williamstown High School (2) 12

Spirit: Caroline Chisolm

Year 7&8 All Gender Division:

Williamstown High School (2) 14 v Montmorency Secondary College 12

Spirit: Sandringham College
