This year, we celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the Lacrosse Together Cup, bringing together a multitude of support, respect and inclusion through our lacrosse community.
Since the beginning, the Lacrosse Together Cup has welcomed participants from all backgrounds, abilities and experiences through the sport of lacrosse, providing a safe space for everyone to be their authentic selves.
The cup started as an initiative to bridge community and competition and has grown into a celebration for the wider lacrosse community. The Lacrosse Together Cup serves as a safe space for players of all gender identities, sexualities, and skill levels to experience the sport authentically. Chris Moffat (he/him), Australian Team Player and Cup Ambassador, puts it perfectly when he said,
"The establishment of the LV Lacrosse Together Cup demonstrates the care that we have for everyone in our community. Lacrosse is a small sport so showing support for everyone can only make us stronger.”
Here’s a quote from Jazz Stout (she/her), pictured below, who shares her personal connection to the game:
“Lacrosse has always been a place where I’ve felt safe, supported and like I belonged. I hope we can continue that same sense of belonging for everyone.”
Echoing similar thoughts is Zac Ansell (he/him), who exclaims how this milestone represents fundamental connection:
“To me, inclusion is being open, welcoming and accepting. It’s about making people feel welcome and safe. Growing up in a lacrosse community has been exactly that. It’s been one of the best environments to learn, grow and flourish in”

The legacy of the cup is built on the passion of its community and leaders such as previous LTC ambassador, Ellie Diamantoupolos whose infectious energy captivated the 2025 games to this year’s Ambassador, Zane Ellis, who illuminates the importance of inclusion.
“Sport plays a significant role in shaping our identity, and the feeling of being accepted for who we truly are, without having to hide any part of ourselves. Everyone deserves to be included in a community that celebrates our differences and embraces our individuality.”
Zane is also the MC on Sunday and featured on Joy FM's Game On! Show on Wednesday, and we thank them for being open to letting us be a part of their story. Listen to the full podcast here or check out Game On! for a sneak peek.
As we reflect on the incredible five years, we extend our deepest gratitude to every Ambassador, player, official, volunteer and supporter who has walked onto the fields as their true self. Here’s to honouring five years of shared history and many more years to come of pride, respect and community through the sport of Lacrosse.
