2026 Victorian U18 Coaches and Trial Dates Announced
Lacrosse Victoria is pleased to announce the Head Coaches for the 2026 Victorian U18 teams. For both boys and girls, a Victorian team and a Development (A) team will be taking the field.
Head Coach – Emily Prentice
Emily is a four-time State League premiership player with Footscray, represented Victoria at U15 and U18 level, and played with Mount Olive in the USA NCAA Division II. She currently coaches the Footscray U14 girls, is the 2025 Director of Coaching for the LV U15 Girls Fire and Ice program, and has previously coached the Victorian U18 Girls A team.
The Head Coach of the U18 Girls’ Development (A) team will be announced soon.
Head Coach – Chris Marsh
Chris has coached four State League premiership sides, was named LV Coach of the Year in 2024, and has served as both Head and Assistant Coach of the Victorian U18 Boys, winning multiple national titles. He also enjoyed a decorated playing career with Footscray and is a multi-sport athlete who has competed nationally in swimming, surf lifesaving, athletics and triathlon.
Development (A) Head Coach – Ryan Van Wert
Ryan captained the University of Arizona Varsity Lacrosse team and completed a Master’s in Sports Management at Georgetown University. In the 2023/24 seasons he served as the Defensive Coordinator with Arizona Men’s Lacrosse. Locally, he plays State League with MCC and in 2025 coached the MCC, Malvern and Caulfield U18 boys.
The trial dates are now confirmed, so lock them in:
U18 Girls: 8–9 November and 22–23 November
U18 Boys: 22–23 November and 6–7 December
Locations will be confirmed when registrations open shortly.
