2026 Lacrosse Victoria Imagery Awards

Submissions are officially open for the second annual Lacrosse Victoria Imagery Awards. Following the success of last year's event, won by Wiremu Gemmell with his photo Broken Head, we are expanding the competition this year to include video alongside photography. We want to see the best visual stories from across our community.

Whether you use a digital camera or just snap quick moments and clips on your phone from the sidelines, we want to see your work.

Award Categories

We have simplified the photo categories this year so that every image submitted will automatically be in the running for all three photo awards.

The photo categories are:

• Photo of the Year (which comes with a trophy)
• The Spirit of Lacrosse
• Amateur Lens

New for this year, we are also introducing a separate, independently judged category:

Video Clip of the Year
This category is dedicated to the short-form videos, highlights, and sideline moments that a photo cannot fully capture.

Entry Guidelines

• Eligible Dates: All photos and video clips must be taken between 15 August 2025 and 16 August 2026. You can look back through your files to include content from the 2025 Field Season Grand Finals.

• The Subject: Submissions must feature a member of the Victorian lacrosse community. This includes players, coaches, officials, volunteers in the canteen, or supporters cheering from the sidelines.

• Video Specifications: Video clips should be kept short, with a maximum length of 60 seconds.

• Submission Limit: You can enter as many times as you like, but please complete a separate form for each individual photo or video clip.

Key Dates

Entries Close: 18 August 2026. This gives our panel enough time to review everything before the presentation evening.

Winners Announced: The winners will be announced at the Lacrosse Victoria Awards Night in September.

How to Enter

Please submit your images and video clips through the online portal:

Online Entry Form

If your video file is too large to upload directly through the form, you can submit it by providing a link to an external site where the video is hosted. An Instagram link is perfectly fine.
