State Team Debutants: Williamstown Lacrosse Club

We are proud to announce three of the eight debutants in the 2023 Victorian Men's Team are from Williamstown Lacrosse Club!

Shae Moate: The defensive and long stick midfielder began his career in 2010 as a seven year old at Williamstown! Under the seagull's development pathway, Shae has gone on to represent Western Metro's in 2016 and 2017, Victoria U18 in 2018 and 2019, Australia U21 in 2022, establishing himself as a consistent and elite performer at the highest level. We have no doubt Shae will shine on the Senior stage at the National Tournament in June.

Congratulations Shae!

Brock Gourley: Where to begin?! Similar to Shae, Brock has been apart of Williamstown Lacrosse Club since the young age of seven and has demonstrated continual growth year on end. Brock represented Western Metros twice, captaining the team to championship glory in his second year, represented the U18 Victorian Team twice - winning both championships and represented Australia's U21 team last year . In addition to his High-Performance success, Brock has claimed Division 1 Premiership and a State League Premiership for Williamstown. Not a bad resume for a 22 year old!

Congratulations Brock!

Harry Gibson: A name you are probably familiar with. The electrifying midfielder, alongside his Williamstown partners, has become one of the elite midfielders in our competition. Beginning his career in 2008 Harry has been selected in a High-Performance team since 2015! Playing for Western Metro's between 2015-2017, U18 Victorian team in 2018 and 2019 also representing Australia in the U21 team last year. Safe to say there is something in the water at Williamstown, breeding three Australian and Victorian representatives from a young age!

Congratulations Harry!
