Continue reading to find out about the exciting Men's State League games this weekend that will determine who remains in the State League competition after the recalibration!
With less than a week until the Men’s State League and Men’s State League Reserves competitions split, the pressure is on for the men’s teams.
After Round 10, Footscray and Williamstown remain on top of the ladder while Malvern has risen to third, Eltham to fourth and MCC dropping to fifth.
After a 9-4, home field win against Caulfield, Brunswick has moved from seventh to six, a step in the right direction of solidifying their place in the Men’s State League after the upcoming recalibration. With Brunswick’s win and move to sixth place, Camberwell’s tough 24-4 loss to Footscray has pushed them to the number seven spot on the ladder. A 15-6 win over Chadstone has put Altona in the number eight spot and has resulted in a three-way tie with Brunswick and Camberwell, each with 20 points.
Heading into Round 11, Brunswick will take on Chadstone at Treyvaud Memorial Reserve and fight to stay in the top six while Camberwell faces MCC at Eric Raven Reserve in an attempt reclaim their number six spot on the ladder. In what promises to be a tough game, Altona will take on Footscray at P.J. Lynch Reserve.
While this is the last weekend before the competition recalibration, it promises to be an exciting one. With big games and high stakes, make sure to head out and catch a Men’s State League game this weekend.
