Our Secondary schools' participation in the Lacrosse State Championships was eagerly anticipated, and they certainly lived up to our expectations!

Intermediate & Senior Tournament
The SSV tournament, which took place on Friday, August 25th, at the picturesque Albert Park, the Intermediate and Senior lacrosse levels brought forth a thrilling spectacle. The conditions couldn't have been more ideal, with the sun casting its radiant glow upon the competition as schools vied for the prestigious title of Lacrosse State Champions. The tournament was thoughtfully divided into All Gender and Girls competitions, and an impressive roster of 27 schools graced the event. It was a day filled with high-octane action and riveting lacrosse matches.

The tournament adopted a format that consisted of an intense round-robin phase, featuring 10 shortened rounds. This format allowed each participating school to showcase their lacrosse prowess and vie for a coveted spot in the finals. Junior Tournament
In spite of the inclement weather, the Junior tournament held on September 8 at Fawkner Park showcased an impressive display of lacrosse talent. Despite the challenging conditions, with cold winds and persistent rain, a total of 16 schools demonstrated their commitment to the sport by participating in the Junior Secondary competition.

Much like the intermediate and senior competitions, this event was a testament to the remarkable skills possessed by the participants. The talent pool ranged from novices to experienced players, and it was evident that the future of lacrosse holds great promise. Regardless of skill level, all participants exhibited their dedication to the sport, proving that adverse weather conditions could not deter their passion for lacrosse.

The competition was once again divided into All Gender and Girls categories, and the day's battles concluded with the crowning of two deserving champions. Despite the blustery conditions, these athletes displayed exceptional sportsmanship and determination, leaving no doubt that the future of lacrosse is indeed bright.
