Women's Umpire Development Program — 2026 Field Season

The Victorian Lacrosse Officials, with the support of Lacrosse Victoria, are launching a Women's Umpire Development Program for the 2026 women's field season.

If you've been playing for a while and found yourself watching the game from a different angle, noticing the calls, and second-guessing the decisions, umpiring might be the natural next step. This program is designed for people at the start of that journey.

A maximum of five officials will be selected, so spots are limited. Those selected will receive mentoring from experienced senior umpires, real-time support on game day, and paid officiating opportunities as a VLO across a structured, season-long development pathway.
