Head Coach Announcement

Please join us in welcoming Daniel Mentiplay as the Head Coach for the Victorian Women's Box Lacrosse Team for 2026.

Dan steps into the head coach role after serving as assistant coach to Tony Joseph, who is unable to commit to the position this year. We're pleased to share that Dan is hoping to have Tony join him as assistant coach, and our experienced team manager from 2025 will continue in the role.

Dan brings an impressive playing career to his coaching transition, having represented Australia at four Box World Cups, most recently competing at the World Cup in New York. He has also represented Victoria in both box and field lacrosse, and currently plays field lacrosse for MCC. His goal is to coach at the 2028 Box World Cup, making this an exciting opportunity to work with an elite athlete who is dedicated to developing the next generation of Victorian box lacrosse players.

All athletes interested in representing Victoria at the 2026 National Box Lacrosse Tournament are invited to attend the following trial sessions:

Trial Dates:

• Sunday, 7 December 2025 | 8:45 AM - 11:00 AM
• Wednesday, 10 December 2025 | 6:45 PM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday, 13 December 2025 | 8:45 AM - 11:00 AM

2026 National Tournament

The National Box Lacrosse Tournament will be held in March 2026 at the Alan Lewer Box Court in Altona. Exact dates and times are TBC - we'll let our community know as soon as Lacrosse Australia confirms them.
