Grace Mackie has held off multiple contenders to claim the Jackson Trophy in 2022!
In a season that included State League players participating in the A-Grade competition following the early conclusion of their season, Grace has narrowly grasped the Best & Fairest accolade, fighting off Malvern's tenacious trio of Lily Harris, Meg Bown and Leanne Currie.
An agile and athletic mover, Grace was a reliable threat around goal where she compiled 26 scores and seven assists throughout the season but was always the first back in support of her defensive line. Grace's length, endurance and skill made her one of the most strenuous matchups for her opponents.
Recently completing her PhD in Psychology, Grace brought unmatched resilience and determination to lacrosse and Camberwell LC in 2022, making her more than deserving of being considered the fairest and best player this season.
Congratulations Grace!
