After a short illness recently, LV was saddened to hear of the passing of former Australian, Victorian and Williamstown player, Alan Chiron.

Lacrosse Victoria has been saddened to learn of the sudden passing of long time Friend and Life Member, Alan Chiron after a short illness recently.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Alan’s wife Judy, immediate Family, and his army of Friends.

Alan will be remembered as an irrepressible character, who loved lacrosse, and provided a lifetime of service to the Sport.

From early beginnings, playing with friends and neighbours Kevin Hope, Jim Stewart and others living at the bottom of Osborne Street in Williamstown, his successful playing, refereeing and administrative career in lacrosse covered more than 7o years.

Alan’s presence in Lacrosse was International, and he was known and respected in Lacrosse circles around the World.

Thanks “Cher” for your friendship, inspiration and contribution to our great game.

You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
