Keith Jackson's Generous Donation to the Lacrosse Victoria Foundation

Keith is the recent bestower of a generous donation to the Lacrosse Victoria Foundation.

His donation combined with his previous donations, has propelled him up into the “Major Donor” category. Keith now shares this honor with “the Family of the Late I.J (Ike) Taylor”, and the original Victorian Men’s Body, “The Victorian Lacrosse Association”.

Keith’s lacrosse journey began in 1968, along with some friends who also attended Burwood High School. He joined Surrey Park’s team and played as a defender and defensive midfielder. Keith was a valued member of the premiership, winning 1969 U14 Surrey Park team, and the 1971 U16 team, and represented Victoria in the 1970 U16 National Championships in Perth. He continued to play for the Surrey Park Senior teams through the 1970’s and up until 1981, where he was Co-Captain of Surrey Park’s first State League Premiership Team.

Outside of lacrosse, Keith has been working around the world since the mid 1980’s. During his professional career, Keith was able to travel overseas as an engineer to work on the North Sea oil rigs. This experience helped lead Keith to his success in establishing his own engineering company in Singapore. Keith’s engineering company supplies engineering services to the offshore oil industry and has been successful for many years now.

Although Keith has a lot on his plate, he has not neglected his Australian friends and old teammates. He visits regularly to spend time with them, whether it be spectating current lacrosse games or enjoying a day unwinding while playing golf.

The Lacrosse Victoria Foundation Committee would like to express its sincere gratitude to “Jacko” for his continuing generous support for our great game here in Victoria, which is an inspiration to us all.

Sincere Thanks Keith
