2022 Girls U14 League Best & Fairest
Williamstown Women's goalkeeper claims the U14 Girls League Best & Fairest!
In an extremely close count, Holly Austin has held off the fast-finishing Peyton Know of Footscray to claim the 2022 U14 Best & Fairest.
Playing in arguably the toughest position on the ground, the goalkeeper was an immovable object throughout the season, proving to be almost impossible to score against. Holly’s tremendous efforts in goal lead Williamstown Women’s to the minor premiership, with a healthy percentage of 283.67% where only 49 goals were scored against the team for the whole year!
Holly would go on to lead her team to premiership glory in a 1 goal win over Footscray and be selected in the U15 Ice representative team. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Holly also doubled up in the U16 division on numerous occasions throughout the season where she not only held her own but went above and beyond her years to finish 3rd overall in the U16 vote count.
