Michael Sholly

After teaching at St Kevin’s College for 15 years, Michael entered sports administration as the CEO of the Victorian Amateur Football Association. He led that association for 12 years before departing and starting his own consultancy with the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) and Str8bat as his two major clients. Michael started as the Interim part-time General Manager of Lacrosse Victoria in 2020 before accepting the full-time role in January 2022.

Michael is currently the Chair of the Sports Association of Catholic Co-educational Secondary Schools (SACCSS), Chair of the MCC XXIX Club and the Chairman of Selectors at the MCC.

Michael played over 250 games of 1 st XI Premier Cricket with the MCC and Melbourne University Cricket Club and captained and coached both these clubs to 1 st XI premierships. Michael also coached a winning Victorian Under 19 cricket team, was the inaugural list manager of the Melbourne Renegades and was the leading strategist for the 2010 Australian T20 cricket team at the World Cup. Michael also coached the Old Xaverians Football Club to the A Grade Premiership in the VAFA.
