Tri It Tuesday Challenge: Stick Trick

Tri It Tuesday Challenge
Tri It Tuesday Challenge

The 2nd challenge within the Tri It Tuesday challenge series went down to the wire! With 33 hours until the Tuesday deadline, a total of 701 minutes were totaled on the wall. By midnight that Tuesday a whopping 2,206 minutes were completed!

To put that into perspective: 2,206 minutes is 36.76 hours or enough time for you to drive from the Lacrosse Victoria office in Albert Park to East Fremantle Lacrosse Club in Perth, Western Australia.

You could also fly from Singapore to New York City and back on the world’s longest flight and still have time to spare.

These videos were submitted from clubs, schools and non-club members from across Victoria. Nearly 900 minutes were submitted from school and non-club members while 1353 were completed by club members.

The competition went down to the final minutes with Williamstown Women’s Lacrosse Club taking home the $1,000 club prize and Camberwell Lacrosse Club and Malvern Lacrosse Club coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

For their efforts, Camberwell won a $500 prize and Malvern won a Gold TriBall program (valued at $300) for a local school.

It was a massive effort by a number of club members. Lacrosse Victoria Development Officer, Kristen Hutchison, was impressed by the outcome. She said, “we were blown away by the number of submissions that came through at the last minute. You could tell there were some clubs watching the tally’s and pulled through at the 11th hour. We can’t wait to see what the final challenge has in store!”
