Based upon the Federal Government’s announcement of enforcing tighter restrictions across the country in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, the LV board last night met to determine whether or not lacrosse activity could continue in the state, specifically the commencement of the 2020 season.

Taking into account the State & Federal restrictions enforced and other information provided by health agencies it was decided by the LV Board that:

- All lacrosse training and matches are cancelled until Sunday May 31st

- If it is safe enough for lacrosse activities to recommence as of Sunday May 31st, then Round 1 will be played on Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th. This will give players, officials and administrators two weeks to prepare for matches.

-The decision on whether or not it is safe for the season to begin will be decided at the Monday May 18th Board meeting, with further discussion on what adjustments need to be made to ensure maximum participation across the sport.

The Board are meeting informally each day and will meet again formally next Monday March 30th, and there will be constant updates given on pressing matters.

The staff are currently working from home, if you need to reach them please contact them via email. Emails and staff responsibilites can be found here

Whilst this period will be tough, I implore you to play your role to keep one another safe and be understanding. The sooner we follow the restrictions and directions by the Governments the sooner we will be able to return to doing the things we love most.
