11 schools descended on Fawkner Park in South Yarra today to compete in the 2019 School Sport Victoria Primary School Lacrosse Championship.

Williamstown Primary School repeated today defeating Hampton Primary in the Girls Championship while Footscray Primary School defeated last year's champions Yarraville West Primary.

It was a phenomenal day of lacrosse with 160 participants across 16 teams and 11 schools from across the Melbourne region. Lacrosse Victoria Participation Officer, Matt Keogh, said "the day was played in great spirits. We saw some future stars of Victoria lacrosse on the field today!"

Keogh added, "I would like to thank the officials, coaches and teachers for making today such a great success. Seeing SSV CEO Rayoni Nelson come down was an added bonus. It was a real treat to have her present the trophies to the winning teams."

Congratulations to all the participants but special congrats to the 2 schools, Williamstown and Footscray Primary Schools for taking home the titles!
