The 2019 ALA U15 National Tournament was a massive sucess for the representative teams from Victoria. In what many call the tournament of the year, the 5 teams from Victoria had great weeks. There were also some Victorians who travelled to Adelaide to participate on the Presidents Team.

On the Boys side the Western Metro took home the title and the Southern Crosse finished 4th and the Northern Warriors finishing 6th. After pool play it looked like we were headed for an all Victorian final with Southern Crosse and Western Metro finishing at the top of their respective pools. The Crosse had a heartbreaking defeat in overtime in the semifinal and fell to the upstart New Zealand squad which saw our neighbors to the east finish 3rd on the boys side. The Metro went through the competition unscathed finishing undefeated and saving their best for the Grand Final with a 6 goal win over the Stingrays from South Australia. The Northern Warriors ran into some hot teams in the pool play and finished with a 1-3 record but split the final 2 to finish in 6th.

On the Girls side the Fire finished 1st after a dramatic come from behind victory in the final while the Ice finished 5th.The Fire went through the entire tournament undefeated and capped it off with a win for the ages coming back from a multi-goal deficit in the 2nd half to beat the Flames from Western Australia. The Ice split their pool games for a 2-2 record but capped off the week with 2 straight wins to finish 5th.

Congratualtions to the players, staff and supporters on a tremendous week.
