Lacrosse Victoria would like to congratulate Greg Mollison, Tim Dobson, coaching and management staff as well as all the players that have represented Victoria with pride over the past weekend at the ALA National Tournament in perth.

The Lacrosse Victoria Senior Women were able to start off their campaign strongly oin day one with a big win over the president's team and then followed it up with a narrow one goal victory over Western Australia. They backed up their winning form on day two by accounting for the East Coast all stars 24-5 with Sarah J Smith scoring 5 goals, Audrey Fithall 4 and Nelly Mollison with 3 in an MVP performance. The Victorians however could not back up their winning form when it counted the most going down in a thrilling nailbiter to Western Australia in the championship game 16-15. Congratulations to Tim and the team on a fantastic effort and congratulations to the following Women for making it into the National all star team: Sarah J Smith, Lauren Hunter, Danelle Mollison and Rachel Kirchheimer (who was also named tournament MVP).

The Lacrosse Victoria Men were up next trying for the threepeat of national titles. Starting off the first day with matches against South Australia and Western Australia the Victorians were able to make a good first impression on the competition beating the South Australians 13-6 and dealing the host state a blow in their championship ambitions beating Western Australia 13-7. It didn't stop there for the rampaging Victorian team  disposing of the East Coast All stars team on the second day by a massive 23-2 scoreline behind Tim Ratjes 4 goals and River Bradleys MVP performance in defence. With some strong form going into the championship game and having beaten WA previously it was seemingly Victoria's title to lose. Victoria came out of the gates early on and took the lead but found themselves behind 5-7 in the third quarter. Needing to rally to win the game it was behind some strong defence and goals from Chris Plumb that helped Victoria overcome a gallant Western Australian outfit 11-8 to win their third title in a row.

Congratulations to Greg and his team for winning their third national championship in a row and for the following men for making it into the National Championship All star team; Sean Aaron, Chris Moffat, Sean Clarke, Peter Kwas (also named tournament MVP) and Greg Mollison named coach of the all star team.

Well done to all on a great achievement!
