Lyndsey Paton - 2014 Shelley Maher Trophy Winner

Lyndsey Paton - 2014 Shelley Maher Trophy Winner
Newport Ladies' Lyndsey Paton has been awarded the 2014 Shelley Maher Trophy for the Australia Lacrosse Association's Fairest & Best Player.
The Shelley Maher Trophy was first instituted in 2012. The trophy is based on votes awarded by match officials in the states' top competition (State League Women's Competition for Victoria), home and away qualifying round matches. We are very proud to say that of the three winners two have been from Victoria, both being from Newport Ladies Lacrosse Club.
Lyndsey has had an extremely successful year. She not only led the Newport Ladies State League Team to a successful Grand Final win and the Victorian Senior Women's Team to a National Championship, but she also won Lacrosse Victoria's Best and Fairest Player, the Jeannie Matthews Perpetual Trophy!
Congratulations Lyndsey on the well-deserved achievement!
