2014 Victorian Indoor Lacrosse League
In a joint presentation at the recent ‘It’s Coming!!!’ Forum, Lacrosse Victoria President Tim Fry and General Manager Rod Kimmitt launched the upcoming 2014 Victorian Indoor Lacrosse League.
In launching the event Mr Fry expressed his excitement saying “Indoor (Box) Lacrosse is an Internationally recognised format of the sport and presents a significant opportunity to expand the game to both existing and new players”
“This new format not only highlights the exceptional skills of the players but does so in a way that engages fans” he added.
Mr Kimmitt supported Mr Fry encouraging “all members of the Lacrosse community to get behind the new structure and create a movement that takes the game beyond its traditional markets”.
“Indoor (Box) lacrosse is a great vehicle to promote the game of Lacrosse and, along with modified versions of the game currently played at the successful MILL and new SILL, creates an accessible way for newcomers to become involved in the sport”.
