Kristen Stone, LV Development Officer, attended a combined sports day, arranged for deaf and hard of hearing secondary students through Deaf Children Australia, which was held at MSAC .
The Men’s State League Premiership Shield held pride of place. The organization was surprised to learn that the Adult Deaf Club took out the State League Premiership in 1916.
Currently there are 22 sports that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) are involved in and after discussions with James Hale, Sports Coordinator for the DHH. Lacrosse Victoria look forward to having a closer working relationship with the organisation and reintroducing deaf and hard of hearing students back to lacrosse. They are always looking to expand the horizons for the students to participate in.
