ALA Event Manager - Call for Applications

The ALA is seeking applications for the position of Event Manager; to manage the 2016 ALA Senior Championship (Men & Women) and Women's Test Match Series (Australia v England). 

Events Dates

  • 2016 ALA Senior Women’s Championship, Sat 4 – Wed 8 June
  • 2016 ALA Senior Men’s Championship, Tues 7 – Sun 12 June
  • Women’s Test Match Series – Australia v England, Fri 10 – Sun 12 June

Appointment Duration

The position is for an 8 week duration, commencing Monday 18 April and concluding Monday 20 June 2016. 


Prior to the event

The Event Manager will invest appropriate hours to ensure all deliverables are in place prior to the start of the event and that the event is fully resourced with all infrastructures in place to ensure a safe and professional event.

During the event

For the duration of the event the Event Manager will be the ‘go to’ person; being the first to arrive and the last to leave on all event days. This may require a commitment on some days in excess of 12 hours.

Applicants must be able to provide previous experience in the management and running of tournaments or major events and this position will require regular meetings with the ALA Tournament Committee.

All Applicants are not guaranteed an interview.

Only Applicants providing appropriate experience will be interviewed, as this is not a training position. 

Total Remuneration for the project is; $5000       (details to be confirmed at interview)

The appointee will report directly to ALA Director of High Performance and ALA Director of Competition.
