Vale LW (Bill) Taylor

Lacrosse Victoria is saddened to learn of the death of Life Member L W (Bill) Taylor.

Bill was appointed a Life Member of the Victorian Lacrosse Association in 1982 in recognition of his outstanding service to the sport.

Bill commenced playing Lacrosse with Melbourne High School, he also played with MCC.

His greatest contribution to the sport was as a referee and administrator.  

He commenced refereeing in the 70's and refereed for over 20 years.  He was also a member of the ALRA (Vic) Committee for over 15 years.

Bill also served as the Secretary of the VLA from 1976-1985, was Vice-President from 1986-1989 and VLA delegate to Lacrosse Australia from 1982-1989.  

He was awarded Life Membership of the VLA in 1982.

His funeral is expected to be at W. D Rose Funerals, 139 Marriage Rd, East Brighton on Monday September 21 at 1:00pm.
