Lacrosse Victoria is pleased to announce Jason Brammall of the Eltham Lacrosse Club as the winner of the Lacrosse Victoria Sporting Act of the Month Award for June.
Jason was nominated for the June award for the selflessness he displayed during the recent ALA Senior National Championships in Perth. Throughout the tournament Jason would constantly sacrifice his opportunity to rest and recover during breaks in play and, calling on his Physiotherapy background, ensure that his teammates received necessary medical treatment and support.
This was highlighted during the final against WA when Jason spent the half time break assessing, strapping and stretching Will Lettieri’s injured leg to allow him to continue in the match and contribute to the team.
A great demonstration of sportsmanship and selflessness in putting the needs of others ahead of his own.
Jason will receive a $50 award from Lacrosse Victoria and is now shortlisted for the $200 Sporting Act of the Year Award to be presented at the Lacrosse Victoria Presentation Night later this year.

We also know these are not isolated incidents and we encourage all clubs and individuals to send through nominations to when they see similar acts so we can reward and recognise those involved and highlight all that is good about the great game of lacrosse.
