Day 1:

Today the Under 15 teams, Fire and Ice, departed Melbourne. From Adelaide Airport we arrived at Adelaide Shores Resort and watched the AFL Grand Final together. We had a late lunch and then went down to the beach for a light session and a cold swim. At about 6:30 we went down to Glenelg Lacrosse Club for a welcome BBQ.

Day 2:

We were presented today with a huge challenge of playing our other Victorian team Fire for our first game of the tournament. The intensity displayed in today's game was outstanding. The game was incedibly tough, and we knew it would test us as a team on our first day. Even though we did not come away with a win, we were able to score 8 team goals and from that we hope to build and grow as a team. MVP for the day way Molly Outen.

Day 3:

We had a cracker of a game. After a close second half of 5 – 4, we were able to score another 5 goals and hold out Storm (South Australia). The team worked really well together by settling down in attack and locking off in defense. Due to great communication, we were able to double the ball and force some good turnovers, which allowed us to score. The final score was 10 – 4. MVP for the day was Tori Naylor.

Day 4:

Tuesday the 1st of October. We played Comets (South Australia), and it was an extremely physical game. After fighting hard for the whole game we unfortunately lost by 4 goals. The final score was 6-10. Tonight we were able to sit in a group after dinner in our “Onsie’s” and sing songs. It was so much fun, and a great way to finish off the day.
MVP for the day was Samantha Smith

Day 5:

Thursday the 3rd of October. We got to sleep in today and enjoy egg and bacon rolls before the game. We headed off to the ground and sadly had to play off against each other to get into the Grand final. Ice got a good jump on the game scoring the first 3 goals. The halftime score was 6-6 this nail bitter was turning out to be a great game. The final score was 8-10 Ice won.

MVP for the day were Steph Kelly (Fire) Serena Keegan (Ice)

Day 6:

Friday the 4th of October. Today was our day off YAY! We got to sleep in, then go to the movies to see Grown ups 2 and then play 10-pin bowling.

Then we were able to have a little shop before getting ready for our fancy dress night. It was so fun; we went to the Yacht club for dinner in our costumes and had a mini talent contest. People got to get up and sign and dance walk on their hands and just have a great time watching everyone perform. It was awesome and we are all super excited about our games tomorrow.

Day 7:

After a great and hard fought win against Vic Fire on Thursday, we made it to the Grand Final on Saturday, the 5th of October. We were set to play the SA Comets. We knew it would be an intense game because the last time we played them they proved to be a very strong team. We went into the game ready to give it our all and that's exactly what we did. Although we didn't win, we definitely showed everyone how strong we had become as a team!
