LV is calling for applications for the Assistant/ Trainee Tournament Coordinator Position for the ALA Senior Men's & Women's National Championship.

  • Melbourne, Footscray Lacrosse Club, Angliss Reserve

Dates Required:

  • Meet on weekly basis
  • 5th - 10th of June 2013

Overall Objective:

To provide support to the event coordinator in the lead up to and during ALA Nationals. Liaise with key stakeholders ALA, LV, competing teams and host club to ensure the smooth running of the event.


  1. Prepare Newsletter, post and during the event
  2. Update Facebook and Twitter
  3. Prepare tournament program
  4. Prepare and update Score sheets ladder and sporting pulse
  5. Ensure ALA and LV guidelines are adhered to
  6. Deal with issues in a timely manner
  7. Help coordinate opening and closing ceremonies and meeting
  8. Liase with external contactors
  9. Other duties as directed

Job Requirements:

  • Sound computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Sporting Pulse
  • Previous experience in helping coordinate ALA events is desirable
  • Understanding of ALA and LV policies and guidelines
