Coaching and Accreditation
Minimum Coaching Accreditation for Club Lacrosse
In an effort to improve the overall standard of coaching in
Victorian Lacrosse it is compulsory for all club coaches to
complete the Australian Sports Commision (ASC) Basic Principles
course. This training is also ideal for the new aspiring
coach. Training is free and can be done online. Once
complete, successfully particpants will receive a registration
number. Registration numbers are to be submitted to the
Lacrosse Victoria Office via the LV Manager (Paul Clough). As
incentive to complete the online training, successful participants
will be provided with a password to access playsportstv website,
(which is accessible via the LV website).
Coaching Accreditation for Representative Teams
For those wishing to coach higher representative teams in both
Junior and Senior lacrosse it is now LV policy that you are
required to have completed the ASC Basic Principles couse and the
Australian Lacrosse Association (ALA) Club Coaching accredited
course run by LV. At successful completion of this course you
will be presented with an ALA coaching certificate. For
information relating to the next ALA club coaching course, please
contact the LV office.

available on the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) website. The
magazines provide valuable information for coaches and officials of
all sports on areas including sports science, roles and
responsibilities, nutrition, psychology and planning, and feature
new technology as well as profiles of successful coaches and
officials.
Sports Coach online magazine has over 220 articles and Sports
Official online magazine has over 70 articles. They replace the
former Sports Coach and Officiating Australia hard copy magazines.
New articles explore topics covered in the free coaching and
officiating general principles programs (see coaching and
officiating courses in related links below), which will provide
extra information for coaches enrolled in these programs. To
